If you find an artwork you love that is already sold, or an artist whose style you like but they don’t have any artworks available that work for your space, you may be able to commission an artwork.
Commissions are new artworks created to your individual specifications, and are accepted by many of our artists.
How to Request a Commission
To request a commission, click the Enquire button beneath the Commission An Artwork section on the artist page.
Enter your contact details, budget and any other ideas you may have already on how you envisage your commission. Click Send Request and your commission enquiry will be sent to us to review.
If you don’t see a Commission An Artwork section on the page of the artist you’re interested in, it may be that they don’t currently offer commissions. If you’re unsure, get in touch with us to enquire.
How the Commission Process Works
The time it takes to complete a commission will vary. We’ll provide you with a timeline specific to your request once we’ve received and reviewed it with the artist.
Once your commission is agreed, we’ll ask you to sign a commission note. This outlines all the agreed details of your commission, as well as including general terms and conditions.
We require a down payment of 50% ahead of the artist starting the commission. Once the artwork is complete to your satisfaction, the final instalment will need to be paid before the artist ships the artwork.
It’s worth noting that commission payments are non-refundable. However, if for any reason the artwork doesn’t fit your requirements, we’ll work with you and the artist to make sure you’re happy with the final result. We’ll keep you updated on the progress throughout, sending regular photos and/or videos direct from the artist.
